Notification of claim

As soon as practically possible following an accident it is vital to contact us by telephone, e-mail or text providing your contact details, the aircraft registration, when and how the incident occurred and where the aircraft is now.

We understand that a claim can be unsettling or traumatic. The Hayward Aviation team have years of experience in dealing with caims and we are here to help you.

After your initial contact with our Claims team we will notify your Insurer of the incident. At this stage your Insurers may decide that a Loss Adjuster needs to be appointed to survey the hull damage. The Loss Adjuster will collect the information required to assess if there is a valid claim under the policy.

Where third party property damage or bodily injury has occurred, your Insurers may instruct a legal representative, usually a firm of solicitors, to represent both your and their interests.

Your contact details will be passed to these "service providers" and you should expect to be contacted by them within 48 hours. In the case of a Loss Adjuster, they will require a claims questionnaire to be completed and returned. We do not send you a claim form as this is the responsibility of the Loss Adjuster.
