Hayward Aviation was founded in 1992 with the sole intention of providing specialist aviation insurance broking services to the general aviation sector, where General Aviation (GA) clients are at the heart of the business and our services are totally aligned to our clients’ needs.
Since 1992 the business has gone through management buyouts, acquisitions and we have been bought twice; in 2007 by the Towergate Partnership and in December 2014, when Hayward Aviation became joined JLT Group.
Throughout this “first chapter” of our existence we have remained focussed on our clients and their insurance needs. We count clients from over 70 countries and work for businesses involved in almost every sector of the global aerospace industry. While our client base now extends beyond “general aviation” to include commercial passenger airlines, corporate jet owners and operators to airports, MROs and FBOs, we remain specialist aviation insurance brokers, with a passion to help solve clients insurance risks!
Our clients are our fiercest critics and our best supporters. Many have trusted us with their insurance arrangements for over 15+ years. We succeed by working for and with our clients, combining our best resources into individual account teams, to do what we say we will do, for our clients.
With just over 60 staff, we operate in a flexible manage, without excessive layers of management.
At the core of our service are our Account handlers / managers, whose roles are to support clients on a day to day basis, as needed. Account Directors have overall responsibility for each specific client, ensuring the strategic development of our insurance packages, working closely with our clients’ senior managers.
Wrapped around our service teams are the specialist roles such as Brokers, our claims handlers/managers, insurance policy wordings specialists, Quality assurance and compliance teams and general marketing and business development experts – and our senior management team who are "hands-on" working with clients and our teams.
