Aviation and aerospace is a dynamic, global business where working partnerships and relationships are essential to success. We actively participate in a number of Associations and organisations within the global aerospace sector.

Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association UK
is part of AOPA, the world’s largest, most influential aviation membership association. AOPA UK is a not-for-profit organisation which exists to serve the interests of its members as aircraft owners and pilots, promoting the economy, safety, utility, and popularity of flight in general aviation aircraft. AOPA UK is affiliated to the International Council of Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association (IAOPA).
General Aviation All-Party Parliamentary Group
promotes the objective – as set out by British Government – of making the United Kingdom the best country in the world for General Aviation, and to stimulate interest in the sector. Its goal is to ensure that General Aviation inspires both current and future generations to take up science, technology, engineering and mathematics, thereby creating high-tech jobs and growth in all nations and regions of the UK economy. In order to achieve this objective, the All-Party Parliamentary Group believes that a network of General Aviation airfields must be protected and enhanced by the government.
The Baltic Air Charter Association (BACA)
brings together aviation businesses involved in the commercial air charter market. Hayward Aviation is an active member of BACA and support the Association through contributing to in-house training courses on insurance issues facing the industry.
The British Air Display Association (BADA)
was formed in April 2011 following a number of successful informal meetings by organisers, pilots and others associated with air displays. BADA encourages, promotes and advances Safety and Standards in British air displays while encouraging open discussion on all aspects of staging an airshow, from the smallest, involving a couple of flying displays, to the largest with international following. Hayward Aviation sponsors the prestigious BADA Trophy that is awarded annually to an individual or organisation that demonstrates the aims of the association ‘To encourage, promote and advance Safety and Standards in British Air Displays’.
The British Business and General Aviation Association (BBGA)
represents the interests of member companies and overseas affiliates at local, national, European and international levels; supporting and promoting the growth and well-being of Business and General Aviation in the United Kingdom. Member companies include manufacturers, operators, maintenance organisations, repair & overhaul organisations, training organisations, aircraft & helicopter sales organisations, spares stockists and other supporting organisations including finance, insurance and publications companies. Hayward Aviation has been a member of the BBGA since 2001.
The British Helicopter Association (BHA)
promotes the compliant, safe and considerate use of rotorcraft throughout the UK. Its activities are directed by a Council of Management. The BHA negotiates with government departments, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), on behalf of the industry. Hayward Aviation has been a member of the BHA since 2001 and we are delighted to support the work of the BHA, in particular their programme of training courses for Chief Pilots.
The European Business Aviation Association (EBAA)
promotes excellence and professionalism amongst Member organisation to enable them to deliver best-in-class safety and operational efficiency in the Business Aviation community. The EBAA represents its members’ interests at all levels in Europe, to ensure the proper recognition of business aviation as a vital part of the aviation infrastructure, supporting local and national economies. EBAA counts some 500 Members from across the industry and represents a fleet of over 1,000 aircraft, in addition to many service companies associated with Business Aviation. Hayward Aviation has been a member of EBAA since 2005.
The Hayward Aviation team has been actively involved with the UK General Aviation Council (GASCo)
for over 10 years, to promote safety flying for pilots of all aviation forms. In association with GASCo we have produced a range of safety related posters which address the key GA Safety six safety outcomes identified by the UK CAA.
The Helicopter Club of Great Britain
was founded in 1966 to bring together helicopter pilots, owners and enthusiasts. The Club’s objectives are to encourage and support the use of the helicopter as a means of social, private, business, corporate and emergency transport and to generate a wider interest in the sporting use of helicopters in the UK; also to promote safety and encourage awareness of environmental needs and to represent helicopter owners and pilots to Government Authorities. The Club organise helicopter events throughout the year including the British Helicopter Championships. Hayward Aviation has been active supporters of the Club since 1992 and sponsors the British Helicopter Team at international helicopter championship events.
The Historic Aircraft Association (HAA)
was founded in 1979 with the aim of furthering the safe flying of historic aircraft in the UK and, later on, supporting the restoration and preservation of these aircraft. The Association has over 200 active pilot and engineer members and makes a major contribution to General Aviation, ensuring that British flying heritage is kept alive by promoting the safe flying of valuable, historic and heritage aircraft.
Hayward Aviation are active members of the HAA, acting as the Honorary Insurance Broker to the Association and attend and speak regularly at HAA events.
