The Employee Benefits business globally contributes approximately 26% of the Group's revenues and is primarily supported, operationally, from India. JLT India’s Application Services team, which has been appraised at CMMi level 5, is the Group's largest IT team and does innovative work for proprietary apps like BenPal, JLT’s online integrated benefits management system. The growing Employee Benefits practice and increasing scope in Applications Services, with a focus on mobile applications and other software solutions, is the driving force behind this expansion.
Speaking about the expansion, Puneet Satyawadi, Chief Executive Officer, JLT India said: “Pune has become a destination that has gained growing importance due to the development of the city's infrastructure and positive business environment. With the presence of relevant talent and the proximity to our Mumbai office, I am confident that our Pune unit will further strengthen our presence in India.”
JLT India was established in Mumbai as the Global Shared Services Centre for the JLT Group in May 2007, offering access to local talent and expertise in order to improve cost and operational efficiency. Over the last 8 years, JLT India has grown significantly. The Pune office aims to strengthen Design and Innovation and will also function as the Business Continuity Site for JLT India, therefore adding to the strategic importance attached to it.
